Empyrion Digital Launches Powerful, Sustainable Data Hub in Bangkok

Empyrion Digital starts building an advanced, eco-friendly data centre in Bangkok.

Empyrion Digital has officially started construction on its first data centre in Thailand, setting a new milestone for digital infrastructure in the region. The new facility is poised to boost the country’s connectivity capabilities, underlining Empyrion Digital’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance technology solutions across Asia.

Empyrion Digital Breaks Ground on First Thailand Data Centre

The new Bangkok Data Centre (TH1) is located in the Bang Na district, a rapidly expanding connectivity hub in the city. This 20MW, AI-ready facility is built to support the fast-growing demand for digital infrastructure among hyperscalers, AI-driven applications, and cloud service providers. Empyrion Digital aims to deliver scalable and high-performance data solutions, with plans to make the centre operational by Q4 2026. The site will cover 17,000 square metres, offering robust connectivity to major fibre providers and supporting the digital ecosystem in Southeast Asia.

Strategic Partnership with TCCtech to Boost Connectivity

To enhance the new facility’s interconnection environment, Empyrion Digital has partnered with TCC Technology (TCCtech). Through a signed Memorandum of Understanding, TCCtech will expand its fibreoptic network into TH1 and provide a range of digital services. This partnership leverages TCCtech’s multi-IXP reach and vast network ecosystem, resulting in lower latency, greater routing diversity, and a broader national and regional reach. The collaboration aims to empower businesses with speed, reliability, and scalability, strengthening Thailand’s status as a digital hub in ASEAN.

Sustainable, AI-Ready Infrastructure for Bangkok’s Digital Hub

The TH1 facility is designed with next-generation needs in mind, including advanced cooling technologies such as liquid cooling, vertical green walls, and solar panels. By focusing on optimal Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE), Empyrion Digital maintains its green-by-design approach. These sustainability features are part of a broader strategy to deliver digital infrastructure that supports both high performance and environmental responsibility, further reinforcing Empyrion Digital’s leadership across the region.

In summary, Empyrion Digital’s move into Thailand with the TH1 data centre represents a major step in expanding Asia’s digital landscape. Their partnership with TCCtech and focus on sustainable, AI-ready solutions highlight their commitment to driving technological innovation and connectivity in emerging markets. As TH1 joins Empyrion’s pan-Asian data centre network, the future looks promising for businesses seeking advanced digital services in Southeast Asia.
