The inaugural Future Innovation Tech Expo 2024 (FIX 2024), held in Daegu’s EXCO center, reached an exciting milestone with the Global Media Pick Top 3 Awards on October 24. This prestigious award ceremony highlighted 33 outstanding tech companies, carefully selected by 11 international media outlets for their groundbreaking contributions to future mobility, robotics, and ABB (AI, Big Data, Blockchain).
Global Media Recognition for 33 Innovators
During FIX 2024, media representatives from the U.S., Malaysia, Japan, China, Spain, and more attended to recognize the top innovators among 463 exhibitors. The media panel, with expertise in technology and a keen eye for emerging trends, carefully selected three companies each, awarding a total of 33 companies with media accolades.
Prominent participants included Spain’s Clipset, a YouTube tech channel with 2.5 million subscribers; China’s major news outlet, SINA; and Business Today from Malaysia, a partner of Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry. Over two days, the media panel engaged with exhibitors, assessing their innovations and vision for the future.
These awards gave selected companies invaluable global exposure, creating new opportunities for international promotion and exchange.
Honoring Local Innovators in Key Sectors
The awardees spanned diverse sectors, including mobility, robotics, and ICT, with several local Daegu-Gyeongbuk companies receiving awards. In the mobility category, companies such as MORAI, Autonomous a2z, and SL Corporation stood out. In ICT, notable recipients included Zio Robot, VSion, MDA, Biolink, and ST Youngwon. Robotics companies, such as YOUNG HYUN Robotics, Irova, Mobinn, and Jimbo Robotics, were also celebrated for their advancements.
Lee Wook Jin, CEO of YOUNG HYUN Robotics, shared his excitement and gratitude, stating, “Winning this award as a local Daegu company chosen by global media is an honor. Thanks to Daegu City and EXCO for their support.”Lee noted the many fruitful consultations and high interest from attendees, underscoring the value of this event for local companies.
Miriam McNabb, editor of the U.S.-based tech media outlet Dronelife, added her perspective, stating, “Selecting just three standout companies was challenging given the remarkable potential and innovation among all participants. FIX 2024 is one of the best exhibitions I’ve attended recently.” McNabb highlighted the unique opportunity FIX 2024 provided to explore cutting-edge technologies side-by-side.
