Global Developer Hacker House: A Game-Changer for Tech Talent Growth

Tribe, in collaboration with Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Temasek, has announced the launch of the first-of-its-kind Global Developer Hacker House. This initiative aims to provide developers with a hybrid environment to learn, practice, and build innovative solutions to real-world problems while addressing the talent gap in the tech industry.

Launching the Global Developer Hacker House

The Global Developer Hacker House plans to groom 100,000 next-generation developers over the next two years through a series of developer engagement programs. These initiatives will focus on cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR), Blockchain, Quantum, and more. The initiative will also operate online and offline, with developer quests, hackathons, meetups, and other events taking place in global cities like Singapore, New York, Mexico City, London, and Seoul.

Industry Powerhouses as Partners

Notable industry players like Circle, Google Cloud, and Meta will join Tribe, IMDA, and Temasek to support the Global Developer Hacker House. These partners will contribute through mentorships, networking opportunities, and by providing technology assets for developers. Additionally, the initiative will collaborate with AngelHack, a premier community platform hosting over 300,000 developers worldwide.

Addressing the Talent Gap in Tech

Despite the booming growth in emerging technologies, the scarcity of skilled talent remains a key challenge. By 2023, persistent talent gaps are expected to drive 55% of IT organizations to invest in AI-related skills. Additionally, blockchain expertise continues to be highly sought after, and skilled talent is critical to the growth of blockchain organizations.

The Global Developer Hacker House aims to bridge this talent gap by providing developers with opportunities to enhance their skill sets, learn from industry experts, and contribute to the development of groundbreaking innovations. This collaborative effort by both the public and private sectors will empower future tech innovators, strengthening Singapore’s position as a global hub for digital assets and talent.
