TYAN Unleashes High-Efficiency Server Platforms with 4th Gen AMD EPYC Processors

TYAN and AMD unveil new power-efficient server platforms with enhanced performance using 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors.

Tyan, a division of MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation, has launched new server platforms utilizing 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors, aiming to boost power efficiency and scalability for cloud and high-performance computing workloads.

TYAN’s Power-Efficient Cloud Platforms

The new cloud platforms from TYAN leverage the capabilities of AMD EPYC 9004 Series processors with “Zen4c” architecture, designed for demanding cloud-native services and enterprise applications. The launch includes the Tomcat CX S8056, a single-socket server motherboard featuring 24 DDR5 memory slots, two PCIe 5.0 riser slots, and nine MCIO connectors for NVMe U.2 storage devices. Another launch, the Transport CX GC68A-B8056, in a 1U server configuration, offers high-performance storage I/O with tool-less drive bays for NVMe U.2 devices.

Enhanced Performance for Technical Workloads

Tyan’s High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms incorporate 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors with AMD 3D V-Cache technology to deliver exceptional performance for technical compute workloads such as EDA, CFD, and FEA software. The Tomcat HX S8050 server motherboard supports multiple GPU cards deployment with five PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, while the Transport HX FT65T-B8050 rack-convertible pedestal server platform offers support for up to two double-wide PCIe 5.0 x16 professional GPU cards, ideal for AI workbench workloads.

Scalable Services with AMD EPYC Processors

Tyan’s server platforms based on the new 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors are socket-compatible with existing AMD EPYC 9004 Series processor designs through a BIOS update. Customers will benefit from the efficiency and scalability of targeted workloads powered by new AMD EPYC processors such as the 9754, 9734, 9684X, 9384X, and 9184X.

In summary, TYAN’s new server platforms utilizing 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors offer enhanced power efficiency, high-performance cloud capabilities, and improved scalability for both cloud-native and technical computing workloads. These advances further demonstrate the partnership’s commitment to delivering innovative and efficient server solutions for the data center market.
