Light Source Communications Boosts Las Vegas with Major Fiber Upgrade

Light Source Communications is bringing a new wave of digital infrastructure to Las Vegas. The company has unveiled plans to launch a state-of-the-art dark fiber network in the city, targeting the fast-growing demand for data center connectivity.

Light Source Communications Expands Dark Fiber Network in Las Vegas

LSC’s latest project in Las Vegas features a 60-mile dark fiber route designed to bridge the city’s connectivity gap. This network will form a ring connecting four cities and several key data centers in the metropolitan area. The expansion is driven by the region’s rapid growth and its increasing need for advanced networking solutions. LSC has already secured two major global hyperscalers as anchor tenants, pointing to the strong demand for reliable, scalable connections in Las Vegas.

Supporting Hyperscalers and Enterprises with Advanced Connectivity

Las Vegas is currently an underserved tier 2 market for emerging technologies such as AI and high-performance computing (HPC). With this expansion, LSC aims to meet the requirements of both hyperscale and enterprise clients who need low-latency, high-capacity networks. The company emphasizes its carrier-neutral, customer-agnostic approach, offering customized solutions to accommodate the needs of businesses large and small. These capabilities allow enterprises to scale efficiently, ensuring secure and uninterrupted services for their most demanding applications.

Continued Nationwide Network Growth and Strategic Partnerships

This Las Vegas build is just the latest in a series of ambitious projects by Light Source Communications. In the past year, LSC has also launched major new networks in Phoenix, Arizona, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. In Phoenix, LSC is constructing over 300 miles of underground fiber, serving the new Edged Phoenix data center aimed at advanced AI workloads. Meanwhile, Tulsa is seeing an 80-mile extension to an existing network, further strengthening connectivity in the Midwest. These projects are moving forward with key hyperscale tenants already on board, showcasing LSC’s strong industry relationships and commitment to next-generation infrastructure.

In conclusion, Light Source Communications continues to transform the connectivity landscape in key U.S. markets. By expanding its dark fiber networks in cities like Las Vegas, the company is positioning itself at the center of digital transformation, providing the backbone for businesses to thrive in an AI-driven future.
