Comcast Indiana Delivers Powerful High-Speed Internet Expansion

Comcast Indiana has officially begun construction on its high-speed internet network across several counties. This major expansion stands to improve access for thousands of residents and businesses. As a result, the new network will offer faster, more reliable internet options and drive economic growth in local communities.

Comcast Indiana Expands High-Speed Internet to Rural Communities

The expansion project covers Fayette, Rush, Delaware, Boone, Shelby, Morgan, and Miami counties. More than 10,000 people and businesses in these seven Indiana counties will soon have access to Comcast’s Xfinity and Comcast Business services. This initiative is part of a joint investment, working closely with the State of Indiana’s Next Level Connections Broadband Grant Program, which has allocated $350 million toward broadband improvements statewide. By partnering with the state, Comcast aims to ensure everyone has access to high-speed, affordable broadband, which will impact education, healthcare, and daily life for rural communities.

Enhanced Connectivity and Security for Homes and Businesses

Comcast’s new network will bring customers faster-than-gigabit internet speeds and 99.9% reliability. With more than 49,000 miles of fiber-rich network infrastructure in Indiana, Comcast can serve residential and business customers with a variety of needs. Local businesses, in particular, will benefit from Comcast Business solutions, which include managed connectivity, cybersecurity, and scalable networking options. Importantly, the network is designed with built-in cybersecurity to keep customers safe from evolving online threats.

Bridging the Digital Divide Through Local Investment and Access

Comcast Indiana’s investment goes beyond technology upgrades. As part of its commitment to the community, Comcast launched the Internet Essentials program. This initiative helps eligible households connect to affordable, high-speed internet and provides access to low-cost computers. Since launching, the program has connected over 772,000 Indiana residents. By expanding its network and offering programs like Internet Essentials, Comcast is helping bridge the digital divide, supporting economic mobility, and strengthening local communities for the future.

In summary, Comcast Indiana’s internet expansion is a significant step forward for residents, businesses, and underserved rural communities. The investment enhances connectivity and security while fostering economic growth and digital inclusion. As the project moves forward, more Hoosiers will gain access to reliable, cutting-edge technology, paving the way for a brighter digital future.
