ePlus Advances Gender Diversity with 2024 GRIT Program

Technology and services integrator, ePlus inc., has announced the launch of its 2024 GRIT (Girls Re-Imagining Tomorrow) program, intending to inspire and educate young girls in the field of technology. The program aims to narrow the gender divide in the tech industry by focusing on middle and high school girls throughout the United States.

ePlus Launches 2024 GRIT Program

The GRIT initiative, established in collaboration with Cisco, was initiated in 2017. The 2024 program has expanded to encompass ten schools across six states, including California, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Texas, and Virginia. This year’s program anticipates a record 134 participants.

Encouraging Women in Tech: The GRIT Impact

GRIT seeks to remedy the growing global shortage of women in tech, particularly in cybersecurity, by offering STEM-focused training and exposure to possible technology careers. Since the inception of the program, over 350 girls have graduated, developing skills and experiences to support their future careers. The GRIT program aims to boost the presence of women in technology sectors, promoting diversity and inspiring the next generation of female tech leaders.

Educational Institutions Support for GRIT

Schools and institutions across the participating states have expressed their strong support for the GRIT program. The program is seen as instrumental in empowering young girls, providing them with valuable exposure to a range of tech job opportunities. It aims to break social norms and encourage girls to dream big, through real-world applications of their 21st-century skills.

In conclusion, ePlus inc.’s GRIT program is making strides towards addressing the gender imbalance in the tech industry by nurturing and inspiring young girls to consider careers in technology. The program, now in its seventh year, has received widespread support from educational institutions. Through initiatives like GRIT, ePlus hopes to drive forward progress and close the gender gap in technology sectors.
