Flexential Boosts Global Connectivity With Powerful Bifrost Cable

Flexential has taken a significant step in expanding its transpacific connectivity. With the Bifrost Cable System now in service, the company’s Hillsboro data center campus offers enterprises faster, more reliable access to the Asia-Pacific region. This development marks a milestone for cloud, AI, and international business connectivity.

Bifrost Cable System Delivers Unmatched Transpacific Connectivity

The Bifrost Cable System is the first subsea cable to directly connect Singapore to North America’s West Coast. Boasting the ability to transmit up to 260 terabits per second across more than 12,500 miles, it is now operational and ready for commercial use. By terminating at Flexential’s Hillsboro campus, it offers the lowest-latency handoff to the Asia-Pacific corridor, making it appealing to businesses that need high-speed, cross-continental data transfer.

Flexential Hillsboro Campus Becomes Key Subsea Network Hub

Thanks to this new partnership, Flexential’s Hillsboro site is now a major network access point for the Pacific Northwest. The campus is a termination point for three subsea cable systems: Bifrost, the Hawaiki link (to Australia and New Zealand), and the New Cross Pacific line (to China, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan). Additionally, customers can now:

  • Connect to over 300 on-net carriers
  • Access major cloud providers and carrier hotels
  • Leverage cross-connectivity to Japan, Australia, and other regions via Guam

This extensive network supports growing digital demand across continents.

Supporting AI and Global Growth With Next-Gen Infrastructure

Flexential is responding to AI workloads and high-density computing requirements by expanding its operations in Hillsboro. The company recently acquired property for its sixth data center in the region, addressing the demand for advanced infrastructure. The Flexential Marketplace and the FlexAnywhere® Platform give customers a central hub to access ecosystem partners, connectivity options, and innovative services.

In summary, Flexential’s integration with the Bifrost Cable System positions its Hillsboro campus as a premier hub for transpacific and global connectivity. With advanced infrastructure and broad access to international networks, Flexential is set to empower businesses seeking reliable, high-speed connections for the next era of digital transformation.
