At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Hesai Technology introduced two groundbreaking lidar systems set to revolutionize automotive and robotics sensing technologies. Spotlighting their 1440-channel AT1440 automotive lidar and the innovative solid-state FTX lidar, Hesai reinforces its leadership in high-resolution, high-efficiency sensor solutions for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Unveiling Hesai’s AT1440 at CES 2025
The world’s first 1440-channel lidar, the AT1440, boasts unparalleled capabilities with its advanced Gen 4 technology from Hesai. Achieving an angular resolution of 0.02°, it delivers ultra-high-definition, image-level point clouds significantly enhancing the clarity and detail of automotive sensing. With a resolution 30 times higher than mainstream automotive lidars, the AT1440 sets a new bar for accuracy and reliability in vehicle automation, paving the way for safer, more efficient passenger and commercial transportation.
Introducing the Next-Gen Solid-State FTX Lidar
Alongside the AT1440, Hesai unveiled its next-gen FTX solid-state lidar, optimized for detecting objects in blind spots with superior precision. It supports a maximum field of view (FOV) of 180° x 140°, making it the most expansive for an automotive-grade lidar. Producing 492,000 points per second—a 2.5-fold increase from previous models—the FTX excels in detailed and dynamic environments. Its compact and efficient design allows for seamless integration into various platforms, enhancing adaptability and application across multiple sectors.
Hesai’s Impact on the ADAS Market
Hesai has firmly established itself in the ADAS industry, securing over 100 design wins from 21 automotive OEMs globally, including six from the top 10. The company’s achievement of delivering over 100,000 lidar units in December alone highlights its robust manufacturing and innovation capabilities. With plans to ramp up production capacity to over 2 million units by the end of 2025, Hesai is geared up to meet the escalating demand for high-performance lidar systems worldwide.
By introducing the AT1440 and FTX lidars at CES 2025, Hesai has not only enriched its product portfolio but also solidified its status as a pioneer in the lidar technology sphere. These innovations depict Hesai’s commitment to enhancing road safety and vehicular efficiency through state-of-the-art sensors, marking significant milestones for the future of autonomous driving and robotic applications.
