Comcast Brings Next-Generation Fiber Internet to Westlake
The construction of Comcast’s fiber network is well underway in Westlake. So far, more than 850 homes in neighborhoods such as The Pines, The Terraces 1 & 2, and Woodlands can already enjoy the benefits. The expansion plan includes The Hammocks and The Terraces 3, with goals to reach over 1,200 homes and businesses as Westlake develops. According to Comcast, this project aims to provide the “Internet of tomorrow” as Palm Beach County continues its rapid growth.
Xfinity and Comcast Business Offer Enhanced Connectivity
Westlake residents will soon be able to take full advantage of Xfinity’s suite of residential services. These include high-speed internet, video, mobile, voice, and home security—all designed to deliver fast, reliable, and low-latency connections for streaming, video calls, and remote learning. For local organizations, Comcast Business will deliver advanced connectivity, communications, and cybersecurity solutions. Business customers can look forward to speeds up to 100 Gbps with scalable and flexible options for companies of all sizes.
Programs and Investments Support Westlake Community Access
Comcast is also prioritizing affordable internet access for all. The long-standing Internet Essentials program provides low-cost service, computer subsidies, and digital skills training to qualifying families, students, seniors, and veterans. Since 2011, hundreds of thousands of Floridians have benefited from this initiative. Additionally, since 2010, Comcast has invested more than $10 million in local non-profits, events, and sponsorships throughout Palm Beach County, deepening its commitment to community support.
