DigiCert Amplifies Trust Management with Advanced Features

In a significant move to streamline public and private trust management, DigiCert has announced the expansion of its certificate management platform, DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager. The revamped platform will now support multiple Certificate Authorities (CAs), enroll a broad range of Microsoft and AWS technologies, and integrate with ServiceNow.

Expansion of DigiCert Trust Lifecycle Manager

DigiCert recently revealed that the expansion will enable full lifecycle support for multiple CAs, including Microsoft CA, AWS Private CA. Further, integration with ServiceNow is expected to underpin existing IT service workflows. The Trust Lifecycle Manager offers a unified approach to manage public and private trust for several use cases such as biometric authentication, device authentication and more.

Benefits of Trust Lifecycle Manager’s New Features

The new features aim to strengthen security across diverse IT infrastructure and facilitate seamless management of public and private trust across complex infrastructures. With the ability to automate discovery, issuance and revocation of certificates, the Trust Lifecycle Manager will allow organizations to tag, filter, and apply policies to imported and discovered third-party digital certificates. The Trust Lifecycle Manager’s native integration reduces the human effort and expertise required to extend the internal CAs’ value by eliminating manual error.

Support for Microsoft and AWS Technologies

The platform’s expansion includes native integration with key Microsoft and AWS technologies. For Microsoft, these include Active Directory, Windows Hello for Business, Microsoft Intune, and Azure Cloud Services. AWS-specific inclusions feature Amazon Elastic Load Balancer and Amazon Cloudfront for enhanced certificate governance and domain security respectively.

In conclusion, DigiCert’s Trust Lifecycle Manager’s expansion represents a meaningful step towards optimized certificate and trust management. By focusing on broadening CA support and introducing native integration with multiple technologies, the Trust Lifecycle Manager is poised to provide organizations with a centralized, error-free system for securing users, servers, and devices across varied environments.
