The Specialists Trade Alliance of Singapore (STAS) has launched its Shared Services Registry, a platform that serves the Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Integrated Digital Delivery (IDD) procurement needs of stakeholders in the Built Environment sector. The platform aims to foster digitalisation in the sector and cater to the needs of SMEs in their digitalisation journey. The Shared Services Registry was successfully piloted and will be implemented at a larger scale from Q3 2023.
Innovative Experiential Zones at BTA 2023 Showcase Latest Technologies
BuildTech Asia 2023 (BTA 2023), the Asia Pacific premier platform for the Built Environment sector, will launch two experiential zones to showcase the latest technologies in smart construction (Robotics & Automation) and green construction (Sustainability). The Smart Construction Experience Zone will feature Tractors Singapore Limited’s leading equipment, including the Excavator 320 and the Vibratory Soil Compactor CS11GC. The Robotics & Automation Experience Zone will feature Singapore SMEs such as Doog International, showcasing their autonomous mobile robots. The event will also welcome new companies such as Knauf Plasterboard, Liugong Machinery, and Sany South East Asia.
Sustainability Measures Take Centre Stage at BTA 2023
BTA 2023 will be the first event at Singapore EXPO to pilot the sustainability measurements proof-of-concept, in line with Singapore’s MICE Sustainability Roadmap. Through this pilot, BTA 2023 aims to generate actionable insights for the sector to achieve net zero by 2050. The event will also launch its inaugural Built Environment Transformation Forum, where industry leaders and experts will share insights and update on policies, AI and robotics for smart construction, sustainable practices, and integrated facilities management.
